In Karma – 24/7, Marcin Glod transforms the familiar language of consumer packaging into a conceptual artwork about money, circulation and consequence. Real US dollar bills are incorporated into a box-like composition, referencing the visual codes of commercial products while turning currency itself into the material and subject of the work.
The recycling symbol at the centre becomes a metaphor for the continuous circulation of money and simultaneously for karma: what enters the world eventually returns. The statement “Regelt das schon” (“It will sort itself out”) introduces a playful yet critical attitude towards wealth, consumption and the belief that everything eventually finds its way back.
The 24/7 marking reinforces the idea of a system that never stops. By combining appropriation, collage and Pop Art strategies with an everyday commercial format, Glod blurs the boundaries between artwork, product and advertisement. The result is both visually playful and conceptually pointed: a contemporary reflection on the endless cycle of money, consumption and consequence.
